It’s been a while since I’ve shared what’s going on here! Here’s a bit of an update:
+ My sister-in-law started a Liturgical Living Breakfast Club that I’ve been going to and really liking. I wrote a little bit about it here. The whole idea behind it is to be more intentional with how to live out the liturgical year — feast days and what not. So we’ve been meeting once a month to look ahead at what feast days are coming up and brainstorming how to celebrate them.
+ We recently prayed one of my favorite novenas in the whole world (the St. Anne Novena). Here’s why I love it so much; it’s something I prayed nine (!) years ago after first learning about novenas.
+ NFP Awareness Week was last week and I saw so. many. NFP. posts. More than ever, really. This isn’t really one of them, but it is a reflection on how you can have a fruitful marriage when you don’t have kids yet.
+ We celebrated the feast of Sts. Anne & Joachim and I reflected here on how St. Anne is basically the patron saint of waiting — and how waiting is not a passive thing at all.
+ Our online Pray More Healing Retreat starts in one week! Of all the things I do, producing these retreats is one of my favorites. It’s an online retreat and it’s self-paced. We have nine speakers and a total of 19 talks — that are 10-20 minutes long. You can watch them as a video, listen to them, download them, or read them — wherever you are & whenever you have the time. It’s like a DIY Retreat. We also include a short study guide for each talk — something to help you think more and pray more on what you just heard/watched. You can work through the retreat on your own or in a group setting — we know a lot of people who do both! You can see our speakers, read through the topics, and sign up here.
+ I’m still sharing newsletters every Monday over on Patreon. I always include two gluten-free/paleo recipes, a prayer reflection based on Sunday’s Mass Readings (this week is all about the five different types of prayer — and which we do the most and leas), links to budget-friendly fashion & home decor (and a special edition of skincare recommendations this week). You can sign up for the newsletter here.
Here are some pictures of what I included in this week’s newsletter:
