family - 0764I’m not talking about my husband & I, because, well, we’ve only been married for about two and a half years! 🙂

I’m talking about Catholic psychiatrist Dr. Manuel Santos and his wife, Karee (Not pictured). The two are starting a new monthly marriage advice column: Marriage Rx.

Dr. Santos & Karee been married for fourteen years and have six children. They began teaching marriage prep. classes in 2003, and they’re writing a Catholic marriage book which will be released by Ave Maria Press next year.

Karee writes for a lot of different sites, including her blog, Can We Cana?, as well as for the Catholic Match Institute, at and other places around the web.

Karee writes:

“Most marriages encounter bumps and trouble spots along the way. But Catholics don’t view marriage as disposable. We want to fix our marriage, not throw it away. If you’re looking for Catholic marriage advice from someone who understands the powerful and healing graces of the Sacrament of Matrimony, Marriage Rx can give you answers that will truly help.

“It’s anonymous.  When you submit questions, you don’t have to use your full name, or even your real name. Just email us at [email protected] and look for the answer in an upcoming column.
It’s free.  You don’t have to buy a book or attend an expensive therapy session. Asking us a question is all you have to do!”
I’m excited to see what comes of this! I’ll keep you posted when their first column is published!
Here are some topics Marriage Rx will cover:
  • Financial struggles
  • Work/Life balance
  • Parenting disagreements
  • Religious differences
  • Unemployment or ill health
  • Sexual issues regarding anything from periodic abstinence to serial infidelity
