Here are this week’s must-reads:

+”Holiness is a habit. Every day we begin again… Holiness doesn’t happen overnight, you can’t wish upon a star. You must find the opportunity for holiness right where you are.” — Kimberly Iglesia

+ “Holiness means giving ourselves in sacrifice every day… And so married life is a tremendous path to sanctity.” — Pope Francis // A prayer for marriage: Lord, help us to not be afraid of the demands that love makes. Help us to give more of ourselves, willingly, joyfully, lovingly.

+The Litany of Trust

+ Reflecting on the Different Titles of Jesus — part 1 // part 2 (these are super short but I hope they’re helpful too!)

+ “Our Catholic identity is woven into our household… How we decorate our homes matters. Our directions can direct our thoughts to God, and they can remind us of our eternal home.” — more here

+ “Jesus tells us to pray for daily bread, but we’d rather have a Costco relationship with God. We’d rather have stuff in bulk so as not to come back to God so often. But we can’t live without daily dependence.” — Rich Villodas

+ “The soul needs prayer like the body needs oxygen.” –St. John Paul II

+”Does God make us with flaws?”

+ “We were not made for this brokenness. We were made for wholeness, for holiness. So we experience it as suffering. But it’s not all bad. Because God can make all things beautiful, even brokenness.⁣

Our suffering can draw us to one another, uniting us and inspiring us to help one another. Our failings can humble us, slowly strangling our pride. Our weakness can gentle us, cultivating compassion. And all of it can remind us of how badly we need Christ. Not a one of us can save ourselves.⁣

Brokenness can only do this, though, if we let God use it. To do that, we have to look at it. We have to acknowledge it. We have to reject the worldly idea that we’re good enough as we are, that we should just be our authentic selves…even when our authentic selves are jerks…and ask Christ for the help we need to heal.⁣

That is a request to which He will never say no. His work is to make all things new. Including you.⁣” — Emily Stimpson-Chapman

+ “The Christian life is all about love. It’s the mark of a Christian. It’s the measure of a Christian. It’s the motivation of a Christian’s life.” — Fr. Parks

+ The Very First Novena — The Scriptural Background of Novenas

+ “What I wish I could tell her (what I could tell myself when I graduated)… The second you give Jesus your life, He will give your life to you. •It is through the hard times that you’ll learn the most •Make quiet time for God, it will serve you every. single. time.” — Natalie

+ A Woman’s Perspective on Faith and Healing

+ “The housewife is not, as they say, a bird in a cage, but a bird in a nest.” — GK Chesterton

+ The Wildness of Trust in God’s Will
