About Me

Hi, I'm Annie! I'm a Catholic wife, writer & producer, and I work from home on a prayer ministry I run with my husband. I also write about, and share, some of the best things I find about living an authentic Catholic life as a woman & wife.

Take A Look Around

🙏 The Holy Spirit Novena leading up to Pentecos 🙏 The Holy Spirit Novena leading up to Pentecost begins today! 🙏 This is actually considered the original novena — the very first novena. After Jesus ascended into Heaven, the disciples prayed for nine days in preparation for the coming of the Holy Spirit, the “promise of my Father.” (Luke 24:49). And on the tenth day, they received the Holy Spirit! 🕊 Follow along over at @PrayMoreNovenas to join us in praying the novena. 🙏 "Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth." // I'm planning to share this dove in my next Catholic Wife, Catholic Life Collection on Monday. You can sign up for it through the link in my bio.
🕊 "Mary is our sure path to a closer friendship 🕊 "Mary is our sure path to a closer friendship with the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. At Pentecost the Blessed Mother received the Holy Spirit with unique fullness because hers is the freest human heart. The Lord promised to those who love Him: we will come to him and make our home with him (Jn 14:23). In Our Lady this promise is most fulfilled since she, the masterpiece of God is most prepared to be the living tabernacle of the Son of God and temple of the Holy Spirit. When the Angel greeted Mary: Hail, full of grace (Lk 1:28), she was already (filled) by the Holy Spirit and filled with His grace. Yet, at Pentecost the Holy Spirit descended upon Mary and filled her soul in a new way. With God there is always more and ever-new grace for souls and the work of the Church…” (Kathleen Beckman)

🙏 The Holy Spirit Novena begins tomorrow! We will pray it leading up to Pentecost. You can join us in praying it together over at @PrayMoreNovenas

🌸 Lastly, I shared this Our Lady of Fatima statue -- with a 25% off promo code - in this week’s Catholic Wife, Catholic Life Collection. You can sign up for The Collection and still access what I shared this week -- through the link in my bio.
🙏 Do you know what the very first novena was? I 🙏 Do you know what the very first novena was? It was the Holy Spirit Novena when Jesus asked His disciples to pray in anticipation of when He would send down the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.🕊️ That time of prayer was nine days long, leading up to Pentecost, which fell on the tenth day. "Pentecost" comes from the Greek word meaning "fiftieth" and Jesus ascended into heaven forty days after Easter (Acts 1:12-14). This apostolic pattern of nine days of prayer, leading up to a final day (a feast day or the tenth day) is the basis of the novenas we pray today. It's how we plan and pray novenas over at @PrayMoreNovenas. But, you can pray novenas at any time! You can even pray them in one day's time... 😊

🙏 That's just a little bit of what's covered in our book, the Pocket Guide to Novenas. And it's now available & shipping! Along with the history of novenas, it also includes 20 novenas and a calendar index of novenas that you can pray throughout the year. You can order a copy at AscensionPress.com/Novenas

🙏 P.S. The Holy Spirit Novena starts next Friday! Join us at Pray More Novenas.
