I was talking with some people in our family recently about what kind of saints we’d like to be — what we’d like to be known for, what we might even be the patron saints of… And since “the great cloud of witnesses” was mentioned in Sunday’s Mass readings, I thought of that conversation again and wrote a little bit about it here.

I particularly spoke about how we may not become the saints we want to be — known for the things we’d like to be known for, but how, perhaps, God is willing us to be saints in a different way… and what that way might be.
